Responsibilities:
- Design and develop packaging solutions for our products, considering factors such as functionality, cost, and environmental impact.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, manufacturing, and sales, to ensure that packaging meets product specifications and requirements.
- Conduct testing and analysis to evaluate the performance of packaging materials and designs.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement in the packaging process.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to packaging design and engineering.
- Ensure that packaging meets regulatory requirements and guidelines.
- Work with suppliers to source packaging materials and equipment.
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in packaging design and engineering.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant design tools.
- Strong knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and testing methods.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for packaging (e.g. ISTA).
- Excellent critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
