Role Description
This opportunity in the beautiful city of Charleston, SC is for a Backend Software Engineer that requires on-site presence full-time. This role involves scaling our cloud applications, building out our ETL, designing databases, designing APIs, and more. You will work with an extremely talented team of engineers from various backgrounds working to fix global supply chains.
Requirements
- Familiarity with cloud-based application design and deployment, including containerized development.
- Experience with building cloud applications in AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Azure.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Pulumi, AWS CDK, etc.).
- Strong understanding of Python and associated web frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, Django, etc).
Preferred Skills
- Distributed message processing using Celery, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ.
- Working on systems at scale.
- Automated builds and deployments using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps pipelines, or similar DevOps technologies.
- SQLAlchemy MySQL, and experience with database design and management.
- Experience in the logistics space.
- Web automation experience, including Selenium or Playwright.
