SUMMARY :
Working under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor / Lead, the Preventative Maintenance Mechanic is primarily responsible for completing assigned preventative maintenance tasks and assisting in the rebuild of plant manufacturing and facilities equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING. OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED
Completes assigned preventative maintenance tasks on various equipment, e.g. inspect, adjust, lubricate, reference manuals as needed, document observations, enter work requests for repairs.
Provides feedback for improving preventative maintenance tasks.
Supports Sanitation maintenance requests for reoccurring basic disassembly / reassembly of equipment components, e.g. pumps.
Supports equipment changeovers.
Assists other Maintenance personnel with various equipment repairs and rebuilds.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES :
Report problems regarding safety and food safety to supervisor or manager.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with the proper use of hand tools is required.
Must be Microsoft Windows computer literate.
Must have the ability to read equipment manuals in order to interpret correct preventative maintenance procedures and use of lubricants.
Must be able to use measuring devices, e.g. tape measure, scale
LOCK-OUT TAG-OUT Training.
Physically able to lift 65 pounds regularly.
Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions and correspondences in English.
Ability to perform minimum high school level math.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, written, and oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving many concrete variables in standardized situations.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hand to finger, handle objects, tools or controls.
Willingness to engage in on-the-job training activities with other Maintenance personnel.
PREFERED SKILLS :
Advanced technical school training in Industrial Electromechanical Technology or related field.
A working knowledge of electricity and the use of a multimeter.
Ability to interpret industrial electromechanical schematics and blueprints.
