Summary:The Deputy Director of Operations for Goldbelt Frontier will manage staff, monitor performance, and ensure the successful execution of programs and projects. This role demands strong leadership, a strategic mindset, and expertise in operational processes and system tools. The Deputy Director will ensure contract deliverables and requirements are met, foster customer relationships, and drive program growth.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Job Functions:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and company policies
  • Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Manage operational budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Lead and mentor a team of operations managers and support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Collaborate with other departments, including HR, finance, and IT, to support overall business objectives.
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and government representatives, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction
  • Prepare and present operational reports to senior management and clients
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Work with Business Development Executives by reviewing the RFP (PWS) for all operational matters.
  • Oversee the development of staffing plans and transition plans
  • Oversee the data collection, reporting and record-keeping requirements ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and completion
  • Build, cultivate and manage strategic relationships and partnerships
  • Monitor and track monthly reporting; ensure requirements are met
  • Track and validate contract invoices, labor hours, material expenses, etc.
  • Monitor program financial performance and conduct Program Status Reviews
  • Monitor program staff in the use of system tools and processes and their ability to train personnel. Train as necessary
  • Lead quality management and process improvement for organizations
QualificationsNecessary Skills and Knowledge:
  • Strong knowledge of federal contract regulations and requirements
  • Proficiency in system tools such as Deltek, iCIMs, contract management system, ADP, and others
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and operations management software
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field OR equivalent years of relevant experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in operations management, preferably within the federal contracting environment
  • Proven leadership and management skills with a track record of overseeing successful programs and projects
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with program financial performance monitoring
  • Ability to travel as required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience as director or higher in operations Understanding of Program Financials
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
The salary range for this position is $113,900 - $160,850 per year
