Location: Richfield, WI (30 minutes from Milwaukee and Waukesha)
We’re Looking For A: Lead Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Richfield, WI
Availability on 2nd shift (2pm - 10:30pm)
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Maintains a safety and quality mindset and follows all safety and quality guidelines and/or protocols
- Collaborate with Supervisor, Maintenance to relay team performance and identify opportunities to optimize performance across the maintenance team
- Maintains strong internal customer service to the various departments across the facility, including leadership and employees
- Identify and lead continuous improvement opportunities and projects across the facility
- Performs preventative maintenance on mechanical systems and machines to include disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and calibration in partnership with the Supervisor, Maintenance
- Observes and tests the operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions, utilizing necessary testing equipment
- Assist in the planning, coordinating, and implementation of special projects, equipment installations, and routine maintenance
- Operates newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs completed
- Records repairs, maintenance, parts and materials used, and order new parts and materials as necessary
- References facility floor plan and manufacturers’ manuals to determine correct installation and operation of equipment
- Examines parts and equipment for defects and excessive wear
- Apply a variety of methods, procedures and techniques to layout, install, align, repair, overhaul and maintain various types of machines and equipment
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Proven problem-solving skills and comfortable troubleshooting ambiguous challenges or issues with equipment, machinery and the plant
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- 5 years of mechanical and electrical background
- 5 years of facilities maintenance experience
- Experience working in the pet food or food production industry
- HACCP experience
- Ability to occasionally lift or move machinery, equipment or parts, up to 50 lbs
