Role Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics Management Specialist to provide comprehensive support services at a major medical center replacement project. This role involves coordinating non-medical equipment requirements, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve project objectives. You will serve as a crucial link between multiple departments, ensuring seamless project execution and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate non-medical equipment requirements for the major medical center replacement project.
  • Conduct field surveys to assess existing layouts and utility support conditions.
  • Coordinate SOFA/Customs Clearance documentation with Host Nation Authorities and report to COR or other Government officials for decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with UL and CE Mark codes, The Joint Commission (TJC) standards, OSHA safety standards, and other agency criteria.
  • Collaborate with facility environmental services and infection control officers to ensure compliance.
  • Provide timely coordination with DHA Project Site Office staff for non-medical equipment procurement.
  • Attend staff meetings, in-progress-reviews, and other project-related meetings.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders including DHA-FE staff, IO&T contractors, LRMC Logistics, Med Maintenance, and USACE staff.
  • Execute QA functions such as reviewing schedules, safety oversight, and documentation reviews.
  • Participate in final on-site inspections and make recommendations for corrective action.
  • Review non-medical IO-T packages for completeness and accuracy.
  • Act as the POC for customs documents and manage delivery, installation, and final acceptance of goods.
  • Manage turnover of commodities and documentation to gaining command (LRMC) via DMLSS/Logicole.
  • Provide technical input for high-density shelving systems and coordinate siting of recycling, trash, and RMW containers.
Requirements:
  • Occasional travel to the Einsiedlerhof Zollamt German customs office (approx. 10 minutes from PSO) and Landstuhl Regional Medical Center (LRMC) (approx. 25 minutes from PSO).
  • Proficiency in Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) and Microsoft Office Suite programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Valid passport and ability to obtain a German driver’s license.
  • Must adhere to the DOD Foreign Clearance Guide for Germany.
  • Must pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) Clearance to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Must be a current citizen of the United States of America.
