Goldey-Beacom College is accepting applications for the full-time position of Director of Marketing. Under the general direction of the Executive Director of Institutional Advancement, and working closely with Admissions, Advancement and OIT staff, this position designs and implements the College’s marketing efforts.
Key Functions/Responsibilities/Tasks:
Develop the overall marketing strategy for the College.
Create, implement, and analyze marketing campaigns to drive enrollment.
Assume responsibility for GBC branding, style guides, and accessibility guidelines with a focus on professional, accessible, and equitable advertising, and ensure compliance by all departments.
Develop marketing campaigns for various enrollment markets, maintaining consistency across all advertising.
Develop budget plan for the Advertising account, allotting funds strategically. Negotiate and manage vendor and advertising contracts.
Determine overall look of advertising media and work closely in the design of various advertising forms.
Determine which media sources to use for ad placement, frequency, and duration, as well as target market by geography, age, and special interests.
Report to the Executive Director of Institutional Advancement and other stakeholders the results of digital media campaigns in regular intervals, interpreting views, click-through rates, et al, to determine the ROI of the campaign.
Carry over advertising campaign themes to the College’s website, implementing changes in content and visual appearance as needed. Ensure all website content is consistent in tone and style, revising as necessary.
Assess the needs of the Admissions Office regularly to best serve in driving prospective students to inquire and visit campus.
Supervise and collaborate with the College’s Social Media Specialist to use the College’s social media platforms to enhance advertising. Determine the need for video and photographic support for advertising campaigns.
Work independently to complete tasks and develop effective procedures for completing projects. Communicate project status and updates to manager, team, and stakeholders in a timely fashion, as needed and at regular intervals.
Create and maintain documentation for campaign creation, designs, ad placement, and overall annual marketing plan.
Collect and maintain metrics to help in institutional decision-making and strategic planning.
Learn new skills and technologies as needed. Participate in internal and external training programs.
Provide excellent customer support for GBC students, faculty, and staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
