Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s Emerging Market Debt team is seeking an EM trader at the Vice President level based in New York. GSAM’s EMD team manages over $40bn of dedicated EM assets across a broad range of products and investment styles.
Responsibilities
- Trade set up and best execution
- Working with portfolio managers and research analysts/Economists to identify value within the EM market
- Identifying and implementing security selection and relative value opportunities within specialized sectors both in EM Credit (sovereign, corporates) and EM Local.
- Working with portfolio managers to build and monitor credit risk in portfolios, including management of cash flows
- Developing and maintaining sell-side trading and syndicate relationships
- Recommending, allocating, and executing trades
- Maintaining and improving various trading tools and the accuracy of the data they employ
- 3-5 years of trading and/or sales & trading experience, preferably in fixed income Emerging markets credit, rates, and currencies. Buy side experience is a plus.
- An understanding of markets and a keen interest in fixed income
- Must possess strong quantitative and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a collaborative and dynamic environment
