Human Capital Management (HCM) at Goldman Sachs is charged with shaping our industry-leading people strategy and is in an exciting state of transformation to do so. Nearly every program, process and tool across the division is being redesigned and deployed to deliver a best-in-class experience to our leaders and employees. As part of our transformation we are also moving to a leading practice operating model consisting of Business Partners providing talent strategy and coaching to business leaders, Centers of Excellence setting strategy and developing programs for HCM value streams, and a customer-facing Service Delivery Organization delivering services across the hire-to-retire lifecycle to Goldman Sachs leaders and employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

OUR IMPACT The HCM Transformation Program Management Office (PMO) plays a critical role in the Human Capital Management (HCM) divisions transformation goal. The team sits within a center of expertise focused on People Experience & Transformation at Goldman Sachs. The People Experience & Transformation team advises the firms leadership on Organizational Design and Transformation, Business Process Management, Employee & Manager Experiences, Change Management, and Program Management. As a member of the PMO, you will be a lead project manager and advisor to leadership overseeing highly visible and strategic projects in a fast-paced, dynamic, team-oriented environment. The role will require the individual to leverage his/her advanced skills in managing and advising major transformation initiatives within and outside of HCM.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

  • Work with Goldman Sachs leaders within and outside of HCM as your internal clients and apply overall project management and advisory skills to act as a quarterback for transformation leaders and manage transformation efforts as formal engagements, including scoping, planning, executing work, and tracking and realizing quantitative and qualitative benefits
  • Assist internal clients in developing the transformation vision and case for change, including the development of business cases and quantification of benefits
  • Built strong relationships and coach leaders on benefits and risks of transformation programs
  • Apply a methodology-driven approach to large-scale transformation programs that focuses on execution and capability building
  • Work with cross-functional colleagues e.g. across process transformation, people experience, org design, and change management to manage end-to-end transformation programs for clients (e.g., function transformation, M&A, PMI)
  • Develop and oversee multi-stream project plans, including milestones, issues, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder management
  • Ability and agility to work on multiple projects at once
  • Monitor and understand interdependencies across programs and determine where a risk or lack of control might need to be addressed and determine the right course or action, escalation, or mitigation plan
  • Actively participate and help drive the redesign of HCM organization
  • Help articulate the impact of HCM solutions on the firm

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WERE LOOKING FOR

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4 years of experience in managing transformation initiatives that involve transformation of operating models, organization design, processes, people, and technology
  • 8 years of project management experience, preference for experience in end-to-end Operating Model transformations, functional transformation programs (e.g. HR, Finance) and/or Deals context (M&A, PMI)
  • Experience in and comfort with developing quantitative and qualitative analysis and business cases (e.g. baselining, opportunity assessment, ROI/NPV calculations)
  • Highly collaborative, team-oriented, and strong consensus builder with keen ability to align and rally large teams to achieve critical milestones
  • Strong business analysis, problem solving skills, and logical mindset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills written and oral; confident interacting with all levels of employees, including senior leadership within HCM and the business
  • Experience in working with HR organizations preferred
  • Strong executive presence
  • Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes at senior levels
  • Results-oriented; ability to handle multiple, time-sensitive projects and prioritize accordingly, while focusing on the quality of work delivered
  • Detail-oriented problem-solver who is able to employ leadership, critical thinking, and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure; able to manage and execute effectively on multiple, time-sensitive projects, with keen sense of urgency
  • Openness to feedback and strong self-awareness
  • Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) and/or graduate degree
