Full-Time Administrative Opening - Dean of Students
Gonzaga College High School is seeking a full-time Dean of Students beginning in the 2024-2025 academic year. This is a 12-month position. The Dean of Students reports directly to the Assistant Headmaster for Student Life.
The Dean of Students is responsible for supervising the Office of Student Services, Student Health, and Campus Security. The Dean supervises all day-to-day activities of student life and directs the members of the Academic Professional Staff and Non-Academic Professional Staff in maintaining proper student behavior as proscribed by the Student Handbook. The Dean of Students supervises three Assistant Deans, the school nurse, and the school's special police officers.
The ideal candidate will be well organized, and possess strong written and oral communication skills. He/she will have a demonstrated commitment to the principles of Jesuit and Catholic education and familiarity with schools in an urban setting. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to work well with a diverse group of people. A bachelor's degree is required, a master's is preferred. At least five to seven years of successful teaching or administrative experience at the secondary education level is expected.
