Outpatient Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Nurse (Full Time)

*8 HOUR SHIFTS 8AM-430PM*

Candidates with a background in fitness will be preferred due to the nature of this job.

We are looking for a fulltime nurse interested in working weekdays only. This is a great job for a current nurse who is tired of working in the hospital, tired of long 12-hour shifts, tired of weekend/holiday work, and ready for a slower paced position. The cardiac rehab center is staffed with 1 nurse, 1 PT, 1-2 PTAs, 1 RT, and 1 rehab aides/techs. The nursing duties center around vitals assessment, telemetry monitoring, blood glucose & diabetes education, cardiac medication education, & monitoring patient response to prescribed aerobic/anaerobic POC. Patients are referred post CABG, stent, AVR, TAVR, MVR, ICD, etc and receive 36 visits for progression of aerobic tasks and monitoring of vitals and overall conditioning. POC is created by PT and progressed with the assistance of the PTA, nurse, & patient feedback.

  • Starting $33-$36 an hour
  • Hours are weekdays 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (30-minute lunch)
  • Weekends/Holidays off
  • Vacation/Sick benefits
  • Optional 401k contribution with 3-5% match
  • Health Insurance benefits
  • Work with a team of PT, RT, PTA, rehab aides/techs
  • Team treats 20-28 patients a day, treatments lasting 60-90 minutes
  • Individually assess roughly 5 patients through 1:1 treatment
  • Responsible for patient check in/check out
  • Responsible for vitals assessment (BP, RHR, SpO2, Blood Glucose, Telemetry)
  • Responsible for telemetry connection & analysis of tele/EKG printouts
  • Responsible for assisting patients through cardiac exercise based POC
  • Responsible for evaluating 1-2 cardiac admits per day
  • Responsible for 5-7 daily notes assessing patient condition and response to treatment
  • Responsible for progress note assessments on patients every month
  • Responsible for re-certification notes on patients every 90 days
  • Responsible for discharge notes on patients

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33.00 - $36.00 per hour
