Goodman Air Conditioning & Heating is Hiring a LOGISTICS MANAGER Near Waller, TX
- Directs management of a team of logistics planners and analysts
- Responsible for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts of the project team
- Develops and ensures department policies are being applied accurately and consistently and supports the Company policies and procedures/assures the consistent application of Company policies
- Trains and supervises employees to carry out the functions under their control
- Prepares annual Parts Inventory budget and takes actions to adhere to approved budget
- Optimizes inventory throughout the supply chain, at the central distribution center (DC) and company owned branches (COD) for a diverse group of parts accessories and supplies using the MRP system and other tools. Includes parts manufactured in-house and procured from vendors
- Work with other areas of business-like warehouse operations, aftermarket team, technical services, manufacturing, COD branches, customer service and accounts payable to ensure smooth product flow to the customer
- Oversees receiving, issues documentation and resolves discrepancies by interfacing with purchasing, accounts payable and vendors as required
- Conduct research as needed to respond to customer requests
- Extract data and generate reports that assist in performance tracking and decision making
- Identify value-creation opportunities for the company
- Perform all other duties as assigned
- 6 years of experience
- Results driven individual who has demonstrated ability working in a high performance manufacturing environment
- Proven experience in establishing an effective parts planning and resource system
- Must have good attention to details, but also be able to manage the big picture
- Must be able to manage multiple, complex tasks and deal easily with pressure on a day in and day out basis
- Must be able to motivate, communicate and drive continuous improvement
- Critical thinker with excellent analytical abilities
- Good written and oral communication skills
- High energy, demonstrates urgency and fast pace
- Good understanding of business principles and practices, can effectively manage the parts planning function with a bottom-line result
- Bachelor's Degree preferably in Supply Chain Management/Logistics
