This position is designed to support our Chicago Partners in driving positive impact across their eight hospitals in the city. You will play a pivotal role in providing customized coaching and mentorship for newly graduated and newly hired veterinarians at all GoodVets hospitals in Chicago.
At GoodVets, we believe that mentorship can be transformational for veterinarians at every stage of their career. As a DVM Coach and Mentorship Champion, you will collaborate closely with our Chicago Partners to understand and assist in achieving their goals for newly graduated and newly hired DVMs. You will serve as a company ambassador, creating supportive environments where mentees can refine their skills and build confidence. The Impact You Will Have Every Day

• Serve as a mentor to newly graduated or newly hired veterinarians.
• Foster a nurturing and supportive environment to help mentees build confidence and refine their skills.
• Build and deploy Individual Development Plans (IDPs) to ensure veterinarians have the development opportunities to operate independently successfully.
• Provide constructive and supportive feedback to mentees.
• Model healthy well-being behaviors and work habits.
• Develop and implement training materials.
• Work with our Chicago Partners to understand their goals for the DVMs and how to achieve those goals together.
• Organize and participate in monthly doctor and staff meetings with our Chicago partners.
• Stay updated on industry advancements and knowledge to provide the best guidance and support.
• Act as a company ambassador, promoting GoodVets' values and mission both internally and externally.
• Assist the corporate team in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring.
• Attend recruiting events, take DVMs out to coffee/dinner, etc.
• Promote GoodVets when participating in marketing events, continuing education events, or any other veterinary industry events.

What We Look For

• DVM degree.
• Proven experience in veterinary practice with a passion for mentoring and teaching.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to provide balanced constructive and supportive feedback.
• Commitment to staying updated on industry advancements and knowledge.
