Goodwill Central Texas is Hiring a Human Resources Coordinator Near Austin, TX

The HR Coordinator will play a key role in supporting various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, payroll reports, benefits administration, and compliance with labor laws and company policies.
Role And Responsibilities
  • Assist Onboarding Specialists as needed with new hire onboarding responsibilities.
  • Maintain HR records and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of employee information.
  • Prepare and submit biweekly payroll reports.
  • Assist Benefits Manager with administrative tasks and annual open enrollment.
  • Track and provide initial response to TWC claims.
  • Assist the Human Resources Business Partners with the scheduling of TWC hearings.
  • Prepare and maintain HR reports, metrics, and analytics as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Assist in organizing and storage of policies and procedures.
  • Timely completion of employment verifications.
  • Full responsibility for digital filing of documents and record retention.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 2 years of experience in HR coordination or administration roles.
  • Strong understanding of HR functions and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and HRIS software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in English and basic math skills. Bilingual preferred.
  • Reliable transportation with valid driver license and proof of insurance with ability to travel to various worksites as needed.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk or hear.
  • The ability to cope with and tolerate moderate levels of stress is also a necessity. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
