Summary Assist with development of audit systems and performance of audits to monitor and assure full compliance with program standards, contract requirements, rules, and regulations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assist with development and maintenance of auditing systems for all existing programs, services, certifications, various FLSA and DOL compliance, and financial compliance ensuring that all applicable requirements and standards established are maintained by all Divisions.Review all contracts for newly developed programs and services, to increase awareness of funding requirements and standards.Ensure all new programs and services develop policies and procedures that meet all applicable requirements of the referring agency/funding source, CARF, as well as maintaining consistency with existing policies and procedures.Perform internal audits and examination of evidence on a test basis to ensure full compliance with all applicable requirements and standards.Creation of a comprehensive report at the completion of each audit for submission to the Manager of Compliance and Auditing. CCO, Division Director, and related Management Program/Service Staff. The report will include a section of “findings of non-compliance and recommendations”, along with general information regarding the overall perceived quality of compliance efforts for that program/service.For all assigned internal audits, ensure receipt of an action plan report for all reports of “findings of non-compliance and recommendations” within 30 days of staff receiving the Compliance Audit report. Action plan reports must contain, in detail, steps that will be taken to address each “Finding/ Recommendation” and a time frame for completion of the action plan. Monitor the completion time frame of any outstanding action plans, and upon completion, perform a brief examination to ensure the action plan has been completed and all compliance issues have been appropriately addressed. Complete any additional reports necessary to convey additional results to the Manager of Compliance and Auditing, related Division Director, or designee.Provide additional information as needed to Manager of Compliance and Auditing and Corporate Compliance Officer.Participation in all agency committees that have compliance requirements as set forth in CARF, DD, ODA, ADA and JFS. Including but not limited to the Incident Committee, Accessibility Committee, and Safety Committee.Maintain a professional working relationship with all division directors and staff.Maintain strictest confidence regarding reports and confidential material.Comply with all Agency policies, procedures, and safety standards throughout work areas and maintain same to meet CARF, DOL, AbilityOne, DD, JFS, ODA, ADA, HIPAA, and other regulatory standards.Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities None. Education Requirements A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance preferred. Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Accounting with at least 5 years’ experience. Experience Requirements Must have working knowledge and experience in Excel and Word and the ability to learn new systems. Skills & Abilities Willingness and ability to develop working knowledge of all current systems in support of the position and Agency in goals and initiatives.Exhibit technical competency and ability to learn new systems and processes quickly; ability to quickly learn and become efficient in all Case Management Systems, Salesforce, Advisor Pro, VR, Dayforce, Think LP, and others.Microsoft Office with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint required.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well with a broad spectrum of people, including consumers, referral sources, vendors, and all levels of staff.Must be a highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated individual able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from employees, customers, funders, or regulatory agenciesAbility to follow through with projects and assignments in a timely and efficient manner.
