Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Calling on businesses in person to form partnerships which result in work sites.
  • Coaching participants on employment requirements (hygiene, employer relations).
  • Coaching participants on job search, interview skills, etc.
  • Coordinating presenters from outside agencies and businesses to provide job, health, finance and other related information to participants.
  • Creating/ providing reports to management/ grant funder/partner agencies as needed.
  • Developing individual goals and employment/ activity plans with participant, applying information from previous assessments, case notes, etc.
  • Documenting contacts with businesses and partner agencies and periodically reporting outcomes from efforts.
  • Initial meeting with participant/ intake paperwork.
  • Interviewing prospective participants to assess participant eligibility/ fit for program(s).
  • Making business to business contacts by telephone, email, mail and in group networking settings to form partnerships which result in work sites.
  • Obtaining authorizations/ records.
  • Orientations/ Tours.
  • Recording/ reviewing participant behavior and methods to alleviate barriers/ progress to goals and adding to file.
  • Working in Microsoft Word and Excel to prepare reports as required, which may include: goal sheets, participant progress reports, and other reports.
  • Working in Microsoft Word/ other programs as needed to create instruction materials, graduation materials, presentation information, event flyers and invitations, etc.
  • Monitoring levels of office supplies and ordering office supplies.
  • Working with Marketing Department to publicize new programs, create information about existing programs, etc.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelors Degree in a related field (human services) strongly preferred.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a provider, partner agency to, or past inmate of the prison system.
  • Training/coaching/ supervisory or instructional experience helpful.
  • Sales or customer service experience helpful.
  • Strong Microsoft Word, Outlook skills required.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess and maintain valid NC Driver's License, insurance, safety inspection.
