The Opportunity!

At Goodwill Industries of Central Florida, as a Team Leader I, your major duties will include supervision of inventory and stock rotations, promoting merchandise, personnel, administration, LP, security and operational procedures, and generating revenue and controlling expense budget.

A Day in the Life of a Team Leader I!

You will find yourself:

  • Being responsible for generating revenue, controlling expense budget for the store, and staying within defined guidelines, which includes payroll expenses.
  • Supervising the receipt of inventory, stock rotations, color rotations, scheduled markdowns, and transfer of stock in accordance with the Organization’s procedures.
  • Opening and closing the store as needed.
  • Handling employee and customer inquiries in a professional and appropriate manner.
  • Being responsible for evaluating employee performance; taking appropriate disciplinary action as needed and including making termination recommendations.
  • Demonstrating and maintaining good customer service skills.
  • Instilling proper attitude toward safety and security in employees and trainees, protecting the safety of customers, and ensuring that all store operations are in accordance with the Organization’s safety and security programs.
  • Working independently with minimal instruction and or direction you’re your immediate supervisor.
  • Completing a variety of reports including schedules, meetings, safety, payroll, and store records.

Qualifications


Physical and Environmental Work Conditions:

  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds independently and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Vision abilities required by this job include: close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
  • Standing and walking for long periods of time.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic).

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School education or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years retail and two (2) years management experience.
  • Prefer working experience with people who have disabilities and/or previous Goodwill experience.
