Job Summary:
The Workforce Program Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing and overseeing a variety
of service-related activities. This role involves coordinating service delivery, managing participant
relationships and ensuring that all service commitments are met in a timely and efficient manner.
Essential Functions:
1. Provide respectful, innovative, Person-Centered Planning services that maximize the attainment
of goals, in an effort toward a lifestyle of self-governance and self-determination.
2. Conduct training sessions and workshops both in-person and virtually.
3. Coordinate and schedule activities to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
4. Develop and maintain positive relationships with participants, community partners and staff.
5. Serve as the primary point of contact for participants, addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
6. Track, enter, and maintain necessary documentation to be processed, filed, and/or submitted to
Goodwill staff and appropriate partner organizations.
7. Serve as a liaison between community partners, employer, participants, and staff in such a way
that Goodwill's mission and business needs are both met.
8. Work with referred participants to achieve their goals.
9. Ensures accurate and timely billing for service provided.
10. Coordinate and schedule service activities to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
11. Develop and deliver training programs for participants to enhance their skills and knowledge.
12. Ensure documentation and compliance with CARF standards.
13. Adjust working hours to include early and late meetings, work schedules, and contacts at various
locations, or conferences and seminars as needed
14. Maintain and implement all applicable safety laws, regulations, and policies to include worksites
and personnel working as agents of Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Michigan in community-
based employment.
Additional Responsibilities:
1. CARF: Ensure documentation and compliance with CARF standards.
2. Safety: Maintain applicable safety standards, rules, and regulations in areas of responsibility.
3. Outcome Driven: Have S.M.A.R.T objectives to drive performance and improve Goodwill's value
to the community.
4. Stakeholder Focused: Work with integrity and provide exemplary customer services to internal
and external stakeholders.
5. Accountability: Have key metrics that drive performance taking a leadership role in maximizing
the social and financial return of the community resources invested in Goodwill.
6. Financial Stability: Utilize the resources of the organization in an efficient and effective manner.
7. Strategic Visioning: Commitment to innovation, continuous learning, and leading change in
creating community value.
8. Professionalism: Demonstrate a genuine interest in serving the needs of others and a positive
attitude toward the community, co-workers, and individuals we serve. Represent the organization
to the public with a courteous, helpful and business-like attitude.
9. Promote and demonstrate cooperation and teamwork.
10. Attend or conduct assigned weekly meetings.
11. Carry out additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
12. Contribute to Strategic Plan.

Education and/or Experience
High School diploma or equivalent: Bachelor's degree in human services or related field is a plus. A
diversified job experience is beneficial; experience working with persons with disabilities is helpful.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
 Have reliable transportation
 Possess a current driver's license
 Provide valid proof of insurance
 Ability to drive from location to location
 Have a cell phone
 Exceptional customer service skills
 Strong problem-solving abilities

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Must be able to bend, stretch, reach, and lift to 40 pounds, walking or standing to a significant degree.
