Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont, Inc. is Hiring a Legal Specialist & Contracts System Administr Near Charlotte, NC

SUMMARY
Supports the organization in the areas of contracts, contracts systems administration, legal strategies and research, regulations, compliance, governance, special projects, and policies and procedures by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES are listed below in order of importance, from most important to least importance.
Provides guidance to team members during contract negotiations regarding terms and conditions.
Drafts and reviews legal documents, including vendor contracts, real estate leases, equipment leases, grants, correspondences, and memos to ensure compliance within the contract review guidelines.
Reviews contracts ensuring contracts follow organization's policies, such as vendor contracts, real estate leases, grants, amendments, and correspondences.
Utilizes and maintains contract forms, templates, standard clauses, and guidelines.
Administers the organization's contracts systems throughout the contract's life cycle, including tracking deadlines to ensure timely review and filing, coordinating with team members to obtain signatures, and distributing final contracts.
Performs legal research as required by the organization, including laws, codes, rules, and regulations applicable to specific projects.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs other job-related tasks as assigned by the Manager, Corporate Risk and Contracts.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in Legal Studies or related field or equivalent combination of education and three to five years' as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved school preferred. Prior corporate law firm or in-house experience strongly preferred.
