GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of Career & Training Centers (CTC), ensuring efficient delivery of services to job seekers and employers.
  • Supervise CTC staff, promoting professional growth and teamwork.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, and community organizations to expand job opportunities and support services.
  • Monitor program effectiveness and outcomes, making data-driven decisions to improve services and meet the needs of clients and stakeholders.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
PEOPLE
1. Supervise, train, and ensure that Career Specialists are equipped to successfully perform their job functions.
2. Ensure staff are provided with the necessary resources to effectively carry out their roles, addressing any performance or personnel issues promptly.
3. Frequently communicate with Recruiters and Job Developers to understand how CTC can support them.
4. Build relationships with community employers to identify employment opportunities for clients.
5. Collaborate with local businesses to identify job openings, fostering partnerships to enhance employment opportunities.
6. Cultivate relationships with education agencies to create development opportunities for clients.
7. Develop and promote employer services, including recruiting, prescreening, job fairs, computer classes, resume services, and other workforce development services.
8. Develop and maintain partnerships with local chambers, business networks, and industry-related committees to expand career opportunities for our clients.
PERFORMANCE
1. Ensure the quality of services provided through participant and employer surveys, secret shoppers, and other feedback mechanisms.
2. Implement mechanisms to assess and improve the quality of services provided to clients based on feedback and performance metrics.
3. Compile monthly reports from CTC staff and other team leaders, consolidating them into comprehensive reports for distribution to leadership.
4. Establish and review monthly and annual goals for each CTC location, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
5. Monitor progress on key performance indicators to identify trends and make adjustments to meet target goals.
PROCESS
1. Coordinate all necessary events for CTC openings, including staffing, procurement, marketing, and office setup.
2. Manage functions of the data management system, CaseWorthy, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
3. Compile all information necessary Mission Services Reports.
4. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements regarding financial management and record-keeping.
5. Maintain confidentiality and security of organizational information and files, as well as Goodwill practices and policies.
6. Ensure all program activities comply with relevant policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
7. To perform all other duties as may be assigned.
Responsible to: Career Services Manager
Education: Bachelor’s degree required, with relevant work experience.
Work Experience: Two to five years’ of work-related experience in Human Services and/or Workforce Development. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with data management.
Qualifications: Must maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to Goodwill’s liability insurance provider. Each associate must maintain a current and valid driver’s license with limited points and/or traffic citations and adequate automobile liability insurance. Must maintain the ability to pass a criminal background check.
Physical Requirements: Daily requirements may include climbing, balancing, reaching, talking, hearing, seeing, standing, stooping, kneeling, handling, lifting (up to 50 pounds), carrying (up to 25 pounds), pushing, and pulling. May involve walking, standing, and sitting for extended periods of time. General office environment infrequently exposed to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise, fumes, dust, odors, etc.).
