Maintain established productivity goals for Departments 187 and 189 without a loss of quality of work
Train new employees
Assist employees to improve in their job roles by providing guidance and individual training
Learn and lead the flow of Books and Media through the sales cycle: receiving, warehousing, scanning, listing, stocking, shipping, etc.
Quickly and efficiently process books across all product categories as directed
Tracks production output as well as product levels and records on the appropriate form
Maintains work areas in a neat and orderly manner with clean-up activities performed throughout the day
Record assigned metrics and complete daily reports
Update Daily/Weekly/Monthly reports for e-commerce team as directed
Train and become fully efficient and capable of operating the book shipping machine, troubleshooting any issues or problems, reaching out to necessary contacts for support when needed.
Provide high profile leadership and direction by maintaining positive customer service and employee morale
Accountable for all aspects of E-Commerce Book and Media Operations
Ensure that safety and security is maintained, reporting all problems/hazards immediately
Meet Sales goals, both in revenue and profit
Reach listing goals by monitoring the production processes, ensuring listing/receiving staff are well trained.
Manage Supervisors and all employees in the absence of the E-Commerce Senior Operations Manager.
Ensure proper training of employees regarding company policies and procedures, job requirements and expectations, operation of equipment, safety, security and department housekeeping
Manage all aspects of online marketplaces including eBay, Amazon, Alibris, etc.
Ensure merchandise is listed in accordance with written guidelines from corporate staff as well as verbal and written instructions of E-Commerce Director.
Merchandise should be listed to optimize sales with consideration given to maximizing recovered value.
Opening and closing the department and all requirements of these activities if directed by E-Commerce Operations Manager.
Must address customer needs, handle and address customer complaints with focus on conflict resolution and prevention of problem escalation in a courteous and professional manner at all times.
Develop and manage vendor relationships including but not limited to marketplaces, industry partners and suppliers.
Stay current with marketplace rules and regulations to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction.
Work closely with the Facilities department to address and correct concerns.
Work with corporate Loss Prevention and Safety to ensure company assets are protected at all times.
Ensure that all Purchase Orders are completed in a timely manner and correctly.
Oversee training of NOW participants assigned to the department.
Perform other duties as assigned by E-Commerce Operations Manager
Act as the E-Commerce Operations Manager in their absence
Qualifications
Proficient in the English language
