Goodwill of Western Missouri & Eastern Kansas is Hiring a Sr. Computer Technician Near Springs, MO
Summary/ObjectiveReporting to the eCommerce Assistant Manager, the Sr. Computer Technician is responsible for the technology refurbishing production of computer equipment and merchandise as assigned according to standards.

- Deliver and ensure the process of identification, inspection, refurbish and redistribution of technology donated goods.
- Implement standard operating procedures and ensuring that those procedures are adhered to within the technology refurbish department.
- Ensure compliance with Microsoft, Dell, Shopgoodwill.com, and all other related partners.
- Monitor and meet sales expectations, while continuing to innovate and create new revenue opportunities.
- Install and run software using USB, DVD, or via a network.
- Prepare identified computers for refurbishing.
- Provide training to incoming computer technicians.
- Ensure loss prevention and process flow guidelines are followed.
- Ensure quick placement of high-quality, refurbished computers are ready to be shipped.
- Meet production numbers as set by management.
- Perform duties according to safety expectations and procedures.
- Ensure communication of safety issues and concerns to ensure quick resolution.
- All other duties as assigned.
Physical DemandThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate verbally and apply active listening skills. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work/TravelWork hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Monday thru Friday.
Hours may occasionally vary depending on the needs of the business which may include nights, weekends and holidays.
QualificationsSr. Computer Technician will be a proven leader with the following:
- At least 1 to 3 years of work history.
- High School diploma or equivalent is required. College Degree or A certification preferred.
- Experience in POST data of an operating system.
- Knowledge of various operating system including Windows, Mac and Linux.
- Experience in identifying and recommending computers appropriate for refurbishing.
- Dell and Microsoft requirements for refurbishing computers.
