Summary/Objective
Reporting to the eCommerce manager, the Books and Media Production Associate positions are responsible for processing pre-scanned books in order to sell the product on-line.
Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Evaluating pre-scanned books to determine salability on-line, not limited to condition, markings and completeness of content
Categorizing scanned books onto shelving system according to standards
Pulling appropriate books to fulfill order requests
Meeting production numbers as set by divisional management
Ensuring loss prevention guidelines are followed
Assisting in the packaging/shipping process as needed to meet volume requirements and maintain customer satisfaction
Uploading high-quality, scanned books into software provided and posting listed items onto internal software
Providing clear and accurate information on-line as to the condition and completeness of the book, as well as listing additional components
Utilizing software reports to perform pulls according to Agency standard
Maintaining the safety, cleanliness and organization of the e-book area
Communicating safety or loss prevention issues to ensure quick resolution
All other duties assigned by the eCommerce Manager

This job operates in a warehouse setting.
Physical Demand
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is a physical role. The employee must have the ability to communicate verbally and apply active listening skills and bend, squat, crawl, climb, reach, and stand as necessary. This role requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull medium weight up to 50 pounds. Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked change in temperature and humidity and exposure to dust.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work/Travel
This is a non-exempt position. Hours vary based on the needs of the business which includes nights, weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
The Books and Media Production Associate will be a proven leader with the following:
The incumbent should have at least 6 months of work history, unless this is their first job.
High school diploma or equivalent is not required.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Proven ability to multi task and work independently
Strong work ethic, character and integrity
Commitment to mission of the organization
Comfort with handling cash and operation of a cash register
Understanding of the importance of the donor process and how it supports the mission
Operation of the hand stacker will require the ability to become certified in its operation
