Goodwin Recruiting is Hiring a Bookkeeper/Office Admin Near Chicago, IL

To Apply for this Job Click HereOur client leads the way in enhancing energy efficiency within the hospitality industry, providing advanced solutions for both new constructions and existing buildings. They are currently seeking an experienced Bookkeeper/Office Admin to join their expanding team. This fully remote role will involve 60% bookkeeping duties and 40% office management responsibilities.
Bookkeeper/Office Admin Responsibilities
  • Accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Utilize QuickBooks to maintain financial records by doing ledger entries and reconciling bank and credit accounts
  • Responsible for applying for sales/use tax to all National sales
  • Monthly invoicing to our customers
  • Monitors customer accounts for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities; follows up with customers via phone and/or email
  • Provide job costing to track the cost of individual projects and jobs
  • Responsible for preparing and maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports
  • Prepare and maintain financial records, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and verifying accuracy
  • Prepare financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statements
  • Complete the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries, accruals, and other adjusting entries
  • Prepare and post receipts, deposits, purchase orders, invoices, refunds, and other standard bookkeeping tasks
  • Assist with the year-end audit process, including preparing schedules and providing supporting documentation
  • Maintain Executive's travel schedules
Bookkeeper/Office Admin Qualifications
  • 15 years bookkeeping experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • High-level experience with Online Quickbooks
  • Organized Self-starter
  • Accountable and experienced remote employee
  • Construction background preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes and principles (budgeting, financial closure, reporting)
  • Experience and high proficiency with MS Excel spreadsheets, data entry, formulas, and data manipulation.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to accuracy and completeness.
