Controller Responsibilities
- Manage daily finance operations and GAAP accounting, incorporating automation wherever feasible (including billing and monthly invoicing for customers).
- Provide accurate financial GAAP reports to the CEO, board members, and lenders.
- Oversee the budgeting and financial forecasting processes.
- Ensure adherence to all legal, tax, and banking covenant requirements.
- Assist the commercial team with pricing strategies and preparing quotations for proposals.
- Proven leader with 7 years in accounting and financial management (preferably in life sciences, laboratory, healthcare, or startup environments).
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA is a plus.
- Skilled in financial and management reporting, payroll, tax, and budgeting.
- Proficient in Excel (including modeling), QuickBooks Online, and other financial tools.
- Independent and proactive with strong attention to detail.
- Experience with clinical trial billing cycles is advantageous.
- Experience in M&A financial modeling is beneficial.
