**Primary Purpose of the Position:**

Lead and further develop the transportation department's continuous improvement processes. Responsibilities include leading NA customer service initiatives (ie on-time service level), productivity projects, monthly customer collaboration meetings, and the monthly scorecard communication/management.

Support $250MM annual transportation bid process. Manage carrier development process and provide administrative support.

Manage $10MM small parcel spend and the cost/service projects supporting this mode.

Key transportation contact for operations, customer service, and sales. Work to improve the customer delivery experience and drive productivity.

Provide analytic support for the transportation and warehousing team. Prepare & present materials to clearly T&W performance. Prepare T&W cost forecasts & budgets.

Manage Tier Reporting Process and Distribution. Provide insights into operational performance and assist with leading efforts to drive efficiencies.

**Principle Duties and Responsibilities:**

Lead and manage key processes:

1) Lead weekly team meeting on service. Responsible for the metrics, performing root cause analysis of service issues, and developing plans to improve service.

2) Lead monthly collaborations with customers on service. Present results to customer, and responsible for improvement plans.

3) Owner of Carrier Management. Create monthly scorecards and drive carrier improvement across transportation's core KPI's.

4) Lead and manage monthly QBR process. Create monthly presentations and lead scorecard discussions during the QBR.

Freight spend management:

1) Monthly forecasting process of small parcel spend.

2) Develop strategy to exceed service and cost goals for small parcel mode.

3) Develop and execute projects to meet annual productivity goals for small parcel spend.

4) Collaborate with procurement to determine best long term partnerships and bid management.

5) Owner of monthly FedEx Reconciliation Process.

Support T&W teams:

1) Support analytics for other modes (TL, Dedicated, and Warehousing).

2) Support TL and IM bid (analysis and administrative tasks). Support implementation of new carriers into the portfolio

3) Prepare freight-cost estimates for special customer requests, i.e. OE sales proposal.

4) Customer Freight Policy owner.

Metrics Management:

1) Create and lead monthly metric review. Review service/cost metrics.

2) Lead continued development of the monthly metric dashboard (international, LPC, etc)

3) Responsible for development of accessorial dashboard, and managing improvement initiatives.

Productivity projects:

1) Develop and execute productivity projects (outside of small parcel spend).

2) Participate and present action plan in monthly productivity meetings.

**Education:**

Bachelor's Degree in supply chain, business, logistics, computer science or related field. Associate's Degree and 3-5 years' experience.

**Experience:**

4-6 years' experience in a manufacturing company in supply chain/logistics field or Graduate of the Supply Chain Rotational program.

**Knowledge:**

Excellent analytical skills. Capable of working with data to build fact based solutions.

Confident communicator, both verbal & written.

Strong understanding of accounting principles & financial analytical techniques.

Highly skilled at setting up & maintaining complex Excel workbook financial models.

Skilled in working with Microsoft Access & other database tools, including how they are created & operated efficiently.
