In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.

Our products form the foundation of Google Cloud services, enabling everything from viral videos to ML/AI. Our product managers are already shaping the next generation of computing paradigms. The team seeks an experienced leader to collaborate with customers and partners to define new products and roadmaps that elevate IaaS performance, efficiency, and scalability.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in product management or a related technical role.
- 2 years of experience developing or launching infrastructure products or technologies within networking, storage, compute hardware, databases, file systems, data analytics, cluster management, and other software infrastructure areas.
- Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
- Experience in one or more of the following: compute architecture, data center infrastructure, CPU (x86/Arm) and I/O technologies, Cloud Infrastructure, Storage, understanding of the operational aspects of Cloud Servers.
- Experience with high-performance computing applications (e.g., CAE, CAD, EDA, Genomics, etc.) and infrastructure needs.
- Understanding of different workload requirements (emerging and existing) and their demands on the underlying infrastructure.
- Familiarity with key enterprise workloads such as MSSQL and SAP HANA.
- Ability to communicate effectively and influence decisions cross-functionally and at all levels of an organization.

Responsibilities
- Drive new Virtual Machine (VM) instance types in Compute Engine, including roadmap planning, business forecasting, and customer adoption.
- Own product strategy for VM instances and associated business outcomes, presenting to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) leadership.
- Collaborate across Hardware, Software, and Operations teams to achieve long-term product goals.
- Understand competitive dynamics, industry trends, and application ecosystems to identify innovation opportunities.
- Provide data-driven insights to prioritize engineering initiatives and maximize Return on Investment (ROI), driving new capabilities in compute infrastructure and delivering innovation for Google Cloud.
