GRCC Law is seeking an IT Support Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, coupled with a user-friendly attitude and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. This role requires a technical understanding of various hardware, software, and networking systems, with the capability to provide both remote and on-site support for multiple office locations and remote staff.

Key Responsibilities:

· Respond to initial telephone or email inquiries and troubleshoot relatively simple hardware, software, or network problems.

· Provide initial triage and technical support for users.

· Notate activity and update users with detailed break-fix steps and resolution actions.

· Escalate more complex issues when needed and collaborate for resolution.

· Apply diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes, and recommend solutions.

· Perform routine computer services and advanced troubleshooting on hardware and software.

· Execute software installations, upgrades, and repairs on PCs and Servers.

· Educate users about services performed and answer any questions they may have.

· Assist with managing company inventory and user requests.

Qualifications:

· Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and basic understanding of Windows Server.

· Familiarity with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), Office 365, Active Directory, and networking.

· Excellent phone and in-person etiquette, clear verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

· IT related degree or current IT certification(s).

· Experience with Windows server operating systems.

· Previous work experience as a computer technician or similar role.

· Basic client/user service experience.

· Knowledge of routine diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques.

Abilities Required:

· Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.

· Strong problem-solving skills and research abilities.

· Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

· Capable of multitasking while keeping track of overall progress on tasks.

· Maintain a positive attitude and sense of urgency in a high-pressure environment.
