Surveyor (Survey Office Technician)
The Surveyor I is an office position with 1-2 years of experience that plays a vital role supporting land surveyors bridging the gap between field data collection and the application of that data into construction cut/fill sheets, as-built deliverables and plats for construction, mapping and land development projects and other various applications. This position requires experience in field surveying and requires training and experience in the use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D. This position may involve a combination of fieldwork and office duties.
The position includes:
· Drafting surveys and plats as assigned utilizing AutoCAD including boundary survey plats, record plats, easement plats, house location and physical improvement surveys.
· Retrieving, organizing, and processing downloaded field data gathered from field surveys using specialized software and importing the field point data into AutoCAD drawings.
· Checking the completeness of survey data and ensuring it meets specified standards.
· Analyzing survey data to ensure accuracy and consistency, resolving discrepancies or errors, and preparing it for further use.
· Perform leveling note and digital leveling reductions and adjustments and reporting the results.
· Converting field data into usable formats for analysis and mapping.
· Preparing As-built surveys and As-built Plan Submissions.
· Preparing wall check and building/house location surveys.
