What You'll Do:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to evaluate clients' substance abuse history, mental health, and treatment needs.
- Develop personalized treatment plans that address both addiction and underlying mental health issues.
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing (MI).
- Collaborate with other treatment team members, including physicians, nurses, and case managers, to ensure integrated care for clients.
- Provide education and support to clients' families to promote understanding and involvement in the recovery process.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with regulatory and ethical guidelines.
- Hold a current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
- Possess a master's degree or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Specialized training or experience in addiction counseling and substance abuse treatment.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices for substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders.
- Strong therapeutic and counseling skills, with the ability to establish rapport and motivate clients in their recovery journey.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the treatment team.
