Salary: $60,000 to $70,000 per year You will join our thriving outpatient clinic specializing in internal medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, and various other medical fields. Responsibilities:
- Efficiently perform administrative responsibilities, including managing patient appointments, meticulously updating electronic health records (EHR) systems, and maintaining accurate medical charts.
- Warmly greet patients, competently gather their comprehensive medical history, and effectively prepare them for examinations or treatments, ensuring their comfort and understanding.
- Provide indispensable assistance to physicians during patient examinations, procedures, and minor surgeries, demonstrating exemplary knowledge of medical equipment and ensuring a sterile and organized environment.
- Diligently collect and expertly prepare specimens for laboratory testing, meticulously labeling and documenting them with precision and adherence to established protocols.
- Skillfully administer medications, including injections, under the direct guidance of physicians, prioritizing patient safety and strict adherence to dosage instructions and medical protocols.
- Conduct basic laboratory tests, including urinalysis, blood glucose monitoring, and electrocardiograms (EKGs), skillfully interpreting and documenting results with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Enlighten patients on medication usage, procedures, and general healthcare guidelines, employing exceptional communication skills to facilitate comprehension and foster patient autonomy.
- Skillfully perform routine patient care tasks, such as vital sign measurements, height and weight assessments, and meticulous documentation of patient information, ensuring the highest level of accuracy.
- Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and orderliness in examination rooms, meticulously sterilizing instruments, and maintaining optimal inventory levels of medical supplies.
- Collaborate seamlessly with fellow healthcare professionals to facilitate coordinated patient care, actively participating in interdepartmental communication and contributing to the delivery of comprehensive treatment plans.
- Bachelor’s degree; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is highly preferred.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) from a recognized certification body such as the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from American Medical Technologists (AMT).
- Exceptional knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and fundamental pharmacology, reflecting a comprehensive understanding of healthcare practices.
- Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and other medical software, ensuring accurate and efficient documentation of patient care.
