Job Description:
The Virginia Department of Police (VSP) Information Security Office is seeking a senior IT Technical Project Manager to manage and deliver complex IT project(s) with multiple teams and work streams coordinated to an aggressive delivery schedule.
The project manager is responsible for the outcome of the assigned projects. The project manager leads the team through the Commonwealth Standard for Project Management for successful completion of the project phases: Preselect, Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring and Closeout.
Qualifications:
• Candidate MUST have PMP certification through PMI or PM certification from Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA).
•Candidate must also be able to work onsite 3-4 days/week
•A minimum of 7 years of project experience in IT infrastructure delivery, network and server infrastructure, knowledge of Cloud implementations, and vendor management.
•Familiarity with network technologies (switches, firewalls, circuits, etc.) standards and practices.
•Manage projects consisting of Software as a Service (SaaS) and/or IT Infrastructure components (Servers, storage, OS upgrades, networking, software installs, vulnerability remediation, etc.)
•Experience managing large multi-stream projects
•Experience in various software development methodologies. Preferred experience with Agile.
•This position requires a fingerprint-based background check.
