About the position. The Vice President, Real Estate oversees all business aspects of the Company’s real estate function, including management of the Company’s industrial portfolio, site selection activities, construction activities and facilities management. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Leads all management activities associated with the Company’s real estate portfolio, including overseeing the business aspects of real property acquisitions, dispositions and leasing activities, facilities management, and construction
  • Focuses on portfolio optimization, deal quality, process consistency, and alignment with our operations
  • Develops and coordinates strategic relationships with key business leaders, design and construction professionals, legal counsel, brokers and other partners
  • In partnership with Company leaders, provides oversight for site selection, construction, expansion, renewal, consolidation, extension, sublet and termination activities within the portfolio
  • Oversees and maintains budgets, financial reporting and operational analysis
  • Ensures all facilities are operated and maintained in alignment with established standards, laws, policies and procedures
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with landlords, property managers, key vendors, suppliers, builders, contractors, and other third parties
  • Serves as a main point of contact for business leaders to understand business objectives and influence portfolio solutions
  • Develops and evolves standards, processes and procedures as business needs change
  • Establishes strategic priorities, key performance indicators and business reporting to ensure efficiency, performance and cost effectiveness

What you need. To be a hero in this organization, the Vice President, Real Estate:

  • Minimum 10 years progressive experience in a hands-on, corporate real estate role with a multi-site business model and rapid growth
  • MBA or post graduate degree preferred
  • Current experience in real estate portfolio management, construction management and facilities management, preferably with a complex portfolio that includes diverse commercial and/or industrial properties
  • Experience with implementation and management of real estate technology solutions
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated experience, leading and developing teams
  • Proven record managing operating and capital budgets
  • Experience working with and/or managing cross-functional teams and third parties
  • High level of competency in written and oral communications and reporting with senior leadership
  • Strong process engineer with the ability to manage operations and projects
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Excellent judgment
  • High ethics and integrity
  • Exceptional leadership abilities; able to motivate and direct employees at various levels of experience and knowledge
