We are actively seeking passionate and dedicated individuals interested in the following roles:

  • 911 Dispatcher
  • Call Taker
  • Teletype Operator

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and prioritize emergency and non-emergency calls from the public.
  • Gather essential information and details from callers to assess the nature of the situation accurately.
  • Remain calm and composed while providing clear and concise instructions or assistance to callers.
  • Dispatch appropriate emergency response units, such as police, fire, or medical personnel, to the location of incidents.
  • Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing communications.
  • Operate teletype systems to receive and transmit messages between agencies and departments.
  • Coordinate with other dispatchers and agencies to ensure effective response and resource allocation.
  • Follow established protocols and procedures for handling various types of emergencies.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in a responsible and ethical manner.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong verbal communication and active listening skills.
  • Ability to multitask and make quick decisions under pressure.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and technology.
  • Familiarity with radio systems and dispatching equipment is a plus.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
  • U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a 911 Dispatcher, Call Taker, or Teletype Operator.
  • Knowledge of emergency response procedures and protocols.
  • Certification or training in emergency telecommunications.
