Responsibilities
- Management Support: Assist with management responsibilities and in maintaining the quality of care provided to residents.
- Staff Education & Infection Control: Oversee staff education programs and serve as the Infection Control Officer, ensuring all protocols are followed.
- Compliance and Communication: Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and facilitate effective communication at all levels of nursing staff.
- Resident Care: Meet the medical needs of all residents, ensuring they receive high-quality, compassionate care.
- Service Coordination: Coordinate and direct the comprehensive planning for nursing services within the facility.
- Nursing Knowledge: Maintain a thorough understanding of general nursing theory and practice to guide staff and ensure best practices.
- Medical Records: Ensure accurate and timely completion of medical records.
- Staff Management: Assist with the interviewing, hiring, and orientation of new nursing staff.
- Flexibility: Maintain a flexible work schedule to address unpredictable needs and support the nursing team effectively.
- Licensure: Must possess a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in long-term care settings. Preferred: 2 years of management experience and 1 year of staff education experience.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills, demonstrated leadership abilities, and effective supervision capabilities.
- Availability: Must be willing to work flexible hours as required.
