Position OverviewThe Associate Attorney will play a key role in our civil litigation practice, focusing on Workers Compensation cases. This position does not have billable hour requirements, providing you with the freedom to focus on delivering quality legal services without the pressure of strict billing targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle civil litigation cases with a primary focus on Workers Compensation.
- Conduct written discovery, take and defend depositions.
- Engage in law and motion practice, attend court hearings, and prepare legal memoranda and research.
- Collaborate effectively with partners, clients, and team members to achieve successful case outcomes.
- Maintain organized case files and documentation.
- 2-10 years of civil litigation experience, with specific experience in Workers Compensation preferred.
- JD from an accredited law school in California, and admission to the California Bar in good standing.
- Proficiency in written discovery processes and deposition practices.
- Strong law and motion practice skills, including attending court hearings and drafting legal memoranda.
- Excellent legal research and writing abilities.
