This is a confidential search for Senior level leadership, potential path for Presidency. This role works directly with ownership to lead and manage retail and lumber mill operations for multiple regional locations. Responsibilities
- Accountable for profitable financial performance of assigned operations including developing vigorous operating budgets for 2-3 locations for retail and lumber building materials.
- Alongside Ownership, identify long and short-term opportunities for capital development and improvements overseeing purchase, installation and startup of equipment.
- Collaborate with managers to ensure implementation of best practices to enhance overall efficiencies and productivity.
- Provide leadership and training to accomplish goals/objectives/KPI's.
- Initiate, investigate, review, and follow up on possible value-added activities/process improvements/ efficient use of raw materials that are beneficial to the business.
- Consistent, often weekly travel to remote locations via company plane.
- Bachelor's degree required. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 7 years of progressive leadership experience in wood products or lumber industry.
- 5 years of successful management experience with emphasis on team engagement, collaboration and fostering strong partnerships.
- Financial management experience, including budgeting, analysis, and forecasting.
- Operational leadership with prior success developing effective operating strategies and effective monitoring systems.
- Evidence of the ability to foster a culture of data driven, continuously improving, and innovative process design across the company.
