gpac is Hiring a Dispatcher Needed in the Trucking Freight Industry ASAP Near Newark, NJ
Responsibilities May Include But Not Limited To
- Properly follow all Company, DOT and OSHA safety procedures.
- Dispatch and support drivers.
- Improve truck utilization through backhauls and managing hours of service.
- Effectively route drivers to ensure efficient, timely service to customers.
- Review and process paperwork daily.
- Review driver's daily log sheet ensuring compliance with hours of service and accuracy.
- Review driver's daily inspection reports.
- Arrange preventative maintenance service accordingly.
- Assist drivers with issues that may arise, making the decision to call management or customers.
- Keep daily inspection reports on file.
- Review driver trip reports for accuracy and addressing discrepancies.
- Perform general office administrative duties and other duties.
- Previous experience
- Customer Service skills
- Great communication
- Not required, but a plus, is a CDL
