Under limited supervision, manages projects through the full life cycle from project definition and approval through implementation and evaluation of all project deliverables. Provides guidance to the project team. May also serve in a lead role.
General Job Description:
The IT Project Manager is responsible for the coordination and completion of IT projects, and therefore oversees all aspects of the project using planning, monitoring, and controlling processes. A PM has duties to perform at each phase of a project to maintain schedule timeline, within budget and deliver a quality project. The IT Project Manager must develop, clarify, and manage the scope of the project and prepare reports for upper management regarding the status of each project. PM applies project management knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques in supporting project leads and driving the development and application of project management methodology and culture.

Identifies, tracks, monitors, and communicates project-related issues, scope changes, variance, and contingencies that may arise during the implementation of projects. Facilitates amicable solutions with the appropriate customer
Easily shifts from one task to another without losing sight of long-term goals.
Understands how the DBHDD s applications and systems are impacted when implementing changes.
Effectively communicates relevant project information to key stakeholders in a timely and appropriate manner.
Collaborates effectively with people across the agency to accomplish project goals.
Sets high expectations and enforces standards to meet project timelines.
Remains aware of impending deadlines and competing forces that may change priorities and deliverables.
Stays up-to-date on leading edge project management practices.
Documents and communicates information in a detailed and precise manner.
Understands how external changes can impact timelines, deliverables, resources, and budget.
Knows how decisions will impact the customer/user, and develops solutions that have the least risk to the customer.
Keeps project team members informed of events and issues that will impact their work.
Serves as a representative voice of the team; raises concerns to business owners when appropriate.
Incorporates business owners and customers expectations when prioritizing all initiatives related to a project.
Organizes timely project meetings and involves necessary team members to set and discuss objectives and potential obstacles.
Advanced computer skills and in-depth knowledge of different operating systems, network administration and service desk administration
Project management and leadership skills for managing projects and the teams involved with them
Strong written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with team members and management and explain technical issues
Analytical and problem-solving skills to handle any issues that occur during project completion
Organization and time management skills to keep projects on track and within budget
Excellent resource planning and task scheduling skills
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND FIVE years of RECENT relevant project management experience, with a progression in responsibility.
1. 10 years PM experience managing medium to large scale IT projects
2. Current PMP Certification
3. At least 3 years IT consulting experience.
4. SCRUM Master and/or Product Owner Experience
5. Advanced proficiency in System Development Life Cycle AND Agile methodology
6. Proficient in Microsoft Tools, Microsoft Project, Visio, SharePoint, Outlook, and Azure DevOps
7. Skilled at conflict resolution
8. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
9. Ability to communicate to management, business, and technical personnel
Skills :
Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university - Required
PM experience managing medium to large scale IT projects - Required 10 Years
IT consulting experience. - Required 3 Years
Five years of RECENT relevant project management experience - Required 5 Years
Current PMP Certification (MUST UPLOAD CERTIFICATION) - Required
SCRUM Master and/or Product Owner Experience - Required
Proficient in Microsoft Tools, Microsoft Project, Visio, SharePoint, Outlook, and Azure DevOps - Required
