Job Description: We are seeking a talented and motivated Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in geotechnical engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects, from initial site investigation through to construction support.
Responsibilities
- Conduct geotechnical investigations and site assessments.
- Analyze soil, rock, and groundwater data to determine the engineering properties of site materials.
- Develop geotechnical engineering designs and solutions for foundations, retaining structures, embankments, and other earthworks.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and construction plans.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure successful project completion.
- Perform field inspections and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with geotechnical design and specifications.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff members.
- Minimum of an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., Slope/W, PLAXIS, GeoStudio) and CAD applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
- Experience with advanced geotechnical analysis and design techniques.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
- Membership in professional organizations (e.g., ASCE, GI).
