Looking for someone with a strong background in mechanical engineering, project management, bid estimating, scheduling, and a proven track record of successfully delivering piping projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess project-specific requirements to compile comprehensive estimates through collaboration with clients and stakeholders.
- Liaise with internal and external teams to determine pricing, material availability, and associated expenses.
- Coordinate project setup with support personnel.
- Obtain necessary permits and approvals for project execution.
- Develop budgets for awarded projects, incorporating strategies for material procurement and cost efficiency.
- Oversee personnel, accounts, materials, logistics, contracts, and project operations.
- Provide senior management with estimated project costs for invoicing purposes.
- Participate in meetings related to projects, administration, and operations.
- Manage change orders, requests for information (RFIs), and project documentation.
- Establish personnel scheduling timelines.
- Ensure completion of all required documentation for project closure.
- Cultivate and sustain positive relationships with customers, colleagues, contractors, and the community.
- Uphold company policies and standards.
- Offer feedback to senior management on personnel matters.
- Conduct regular visits to project sites.
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal competencies.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication proficiencies.
- Ability to comprehend and interpret plans, specifications, schematics, and other project-related documents.
- Familiarity with local and state regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Consistent professional demeanor.
- Preferably hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management.
- Possess a minimum of 8 years of experience in estimating, project cost development, or project management within the Mechanical Piping industry.
- Thorough understanding of mechanical piping systems, materials, and installation methods.
- Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) is advantageous.
- Extended periods of desk work and computer usage.
- Capability to traverse uneven surfaces and exposure to various weather conditions during site visits.
