Job Overview: The Residential Construction/Remodeling Supervisor will oversee and manage all aspects of residential construction and remodeling projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of construction and remodeling processes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management:
    • Plan, schedule, and coordinate all phases of residential construction and remodeling projects.
    • Oversee the daily operations of construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
    • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to meet project goals and client expectations.
    • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to project plans and specifications.
  • Team Supervision:
    • Lead, supervise, and motivate construction teams, including subcontractors and laborers.
    • Assign tasks, set performance goals, and provide guidance and support to team members.
    • Ensure that all team members adhere to safety protocols and company policies.
  • Client Relations:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing any concerns or questions promptly and professionally.
    • Maintain open and effective communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Provide regular updates to clients on project status, milestones, and any changes or issues that arise.
  • Quality Control:
    • Ensure that all work meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations.
    • Identify and resolve any issues or defects in a timely manner.
    • Conduct final inspections and walkthroughs with clients to ensure complete satisfaction.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
    • Prepare and submit regular reports on project status, budget, and any issues encountered.
    • Keep detailed records of all materials used, labor costs, and other expenses.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in construction management or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in residential construction and remodeling, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • OSHA certification or similar safety training is a plus.
