Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney, licensed in Illinois, to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in workers' compensation and personal injury defense. This role requires excellent litigation skills, a deep understanding of Illinois workers' compensation laws, and the ability to manage a high-volume caseload effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in workers' compensation and personal injury defense cases.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Handle all aspects of discovery, including depositions and interrogatories.
- Appear before administrative agencies, and state and federal courts.
- Advise clients on legal issues and case strategies.
- Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients in mediations and arbitrations.
- Maintain accurate and timely case files and documentation.
- Meet and exceed a billable hour requirement of 2100 hours annually.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the state of Illinois.
- 2 years of experience in workers' compensation and/or personal injury defense.
- Strong litigation and trial advocacy skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
- Proficiency with legal research tools and case management software.
- Competitive Salary: $90,000 - $125,000 , depending on experience and performance.
