Job Description:

We are seeking a driven, full-time maintenance technician to join our team. We want this eager individual to ensure our apartment facility operates smoothly and effectively. Your responsibilities include completing resident work orders, preventative maintenance, general property maintenance, unit turnover, and more. You will be required to perform a wide range of repair tasks around a facility such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring our residents have a safe, clean, and comfortable living experience.

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

• Inspecting buildings, equipment, and systems to identify any issues.
• Keep apartment community’s exterior clean and in good condition.
• Repairing faulty equipment units and damaged structures on property.
• Managing heating and plumbing systems to guarantee functionality.
• Planning, scheduling, and completing resident repairs in a timely manner.
• Developing and implementing preventative maintenance procedures.
• Document maintenance and repair work, ensuring records or kept up-to-date for reporting to property managers.
• Conducting periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is compliant with safety standards.
• Performing general maintenance tasks including drywall, painting, and carpentry.
• Maintaining inventory records for equipment & supplies while helping develop and implement the budget for the maintenance department.
• Work closely with property managers, updating them about ongoing tasks, upcoming repairs, or potential issues that may require attention.

Maintenance Technician Requirements:

• Valid state issued I.D.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification.
• Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or a relevant field is required.
• A minimum of 3 years’ maintenance experience in a similar role.
• Physically capable of performing demanding tasks such as lifting and climbing.
• General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
• Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
• Flexible availability to work overtime including weekends, public holidays, and evenings when necessary for on-call emergencies.
• Capability to diagnose and address issues effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be well-organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks.
