Job Title: Case Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Registered Nurse
- Day Shift
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with physicians to determine patient admission criteria.
- Conduct utilization reviews with payers.
- Collaborate with Acute Care Management Nurse, bedside Staff Nurse, and Social Worker for clinical coordination of patients’ hospital stays.
- Comply with CMS rules and regulations and conditions of participation, as well as commercial payer
- specific guidelines to prevent denials and revenue loss.
- Registered Nurse in the State of California.
- BLS issued through American Heart Association.
- Experience with InterQual software; Meditech experience is preferred.
- CCM/ACM preferred, but not required.
- 10
- hour shift, Monday to Friday, with varied start times between 7:00AM
- 9:00AM.
- Weekend and holiday rotation is required.
- Flexibility to work on different teams is necessary.
- Business casual or professional scrubs of any color. No other facility logos permitted.
- Start any day of the week.
- Complete paperwork and obtain badge in Human Resources.
- Complete Respiratory Fit Test in Occupational Health.
- Meet with Nursing Education to complete appropriate testing for their unit.
- Finish shift with a Clinical Preceptor on the unit.
- One week unit specific training to familiarize with the documentation, processes, and resources.
