Job Requirements
Need High School diploma or GED
Previous janitorial experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
Ability to operate lightweight equipment
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
Good communication skills and able to work in a team environment
Knowledge of safety and infection control
Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Ability to pass any required government background check
Duties
Use hand or lightweight equipment powered tools to clean windows, walls, and other surfaces
Disposal of waste materials according to established procedures
Restock cleaning supplies and report shortages or needed repairs
Follow safety guidelines and infection control procedures
Collaborate with healthcare team to provide safe and hygienic environment
Respond promptly to any cleaning emergencies and requests from hospital staff
Maintain records of cleaning activities and report discrepancies to supervisor
Assist with the setup and teardown of special events as needed
Work in a healthcare environment including patient rooms, operating rooms, and other medical facilities. Exposure to cleaning chemicals and hazardous materials with appropriate protective equipment provided.
