I have an immediate need for an in-home 2nd grade Portuguese tutor in Hayes between Tidemill & Bena VA; down the road from the Abingdon Fire Department. The student is in 2nd grade at Abingdon School. She wants to work with a tutor to learn Portuguese.

The student is bilingual in English and Spanish currently and now wants to learn Portuguese from the start. She does not study Portuguese in school and no family members speak it either. She is just starting. They have no materials and are open/hoping for the tutor to suggest some materials for sessions.

The goal of the sessions is for the student to work with the tutor on an ongoing basis to make sure that she enjoys learning Portuguese.

The student wants 1 hour sessions 2 times a week, between 6pm-9pm, any day Monday through Sunday.

Job Requirements

• Tutor must be willing to work in-person, face to face at the student's home in Hayes between Tidemill & Bena VA; down the road from the Abingdon Fire Department.
• Tutor must be bilingual in Portuguese & English.
• Tutor must be available for 1 hour sessions 2 times a week, between 6pm-9pm, any day Monday through Sunday.
• Minimal travel required to meet with student (you decide the distance you are willing to travel, typically 5-10 miles)
• Due to insurance requirements applicants must not be a minor.

Student Availability

MON-SUN (7 days a week) 6pm-9pm
