Grady Health System Careers is Hiring an Exec. Director of Technology Near United States, GA

SUMMARY

As the Executive Director of Technology, this role requires a visionary leader who can align technology solutions with the company's overall business objectives, drive innovation, and ensure the efficient operation of all technology systems and processes. The role will be responsible for executing a comprehensive transformation roadmap to modernize our IT systems and operations, enhance efficiency, and improve our overall customer experience. This role is responsible for planning, implementation and management of technology services consisting of data center, cloud services, server, storage, network, telecom, desktop support and helpdesk. The Executive Director of Technology will report to the CIO.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (7 years) in a senior leadership role overseeing technology strategy and operations
  • Strong understanding of technology trends, emerging technologies, and their potential impact on business operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team of technology professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of developing and implementing technology initiatives that drive business value and competitive advantage.
  • Experience managing technology budgets, vendor relationships, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge and experience implementing and managing IT departments utilizing IT Service Management frameworks such as ITIL
  • Knowledge of current practices and technologies in technology infrastructure, including network administration, systems administration, telecommunications administration, technical client services administration and communication

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Transformation Strategy: Execute and adjust, as needed, the transformation program. Communicate strategy changes and ensure strategy changes are aligned with the business goals and objectives of Grady.
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the company's long-term goals and objectives.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of technology professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Technology Architecture and Infrastructure: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust technology infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Information Security: Establish and enforce security best practices and protocols to safeguard the company's data and systems from cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers, ensuring cost-effective solutions and adherence to service level agreements.
  • Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Develop and manage the technology budget, allocating resources effectively to support strategic initiatives and operational needs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs, identify opportunities for technology enablement, and drive alignment between technology and business objectives.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing technology operations and data management.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the performance of technology initiatives and your teams, providing regular reports and updates to senior management.
