JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling front desk reception and administrative duties in a medical office setting.
DUTIES:
- Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments and manage patient inquiries
- Verify insurances
- Maintain electronic medical records and ensure accuracy of patient information
- Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of EMR systems
- Coordinate with clinical staff to provide excellent patient service
- Manage clinic flow by assisting patients with check-in and check-out procedures
SKILLS:
- Proficiency in administrative tasks related to medical reception
- Knowledge of medical records management and terminology
- Experience with EMR systems
- Strong customer service skills for patient interactions
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinic environment
- Familiarity with front desk operations and phone systems
- Familiarity with ZocDoc is a plus
- Experience with prior authorization is a plus
