SUMMARY: Grand Forks County is accepting applications for a Medical Office Clerk . Under general supervision, perform as the clerk to the medical office at the Correction Center. Providing clerical services to medical personnel, organizing and maintaining patient information, setting appointments with medical personnel both in and out of Correction Center, maintaining inventory of scripts and over the counter medications, and completing follow-up calls to medical providers.

STATUS AND HOURS: Full-time, Monday – Friday (based on a 40 hours per week), benefit eligible. There might be a variation to work hours and days to support the department and County needs.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS/ DISQUALIFIERS: Anycombinationofeducation and experiencethat would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; prefer graduate of accredited training program for Health Unit Coordinator.
Experience: 1-3 years office managerial experience preferably in a medical office.
Special Requirements: Must be 18 years of age. Knowledge of dealing with people, multi-tasking, legalities of restricted environment, ability to successfully pass licensing for Correctional Officer Certification. Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
